In mid 2012 Carbal underwent a restructure to allow Carbal to meet its obligations to donors, clients and members. This has resulted in a dedicated multidisciplinary team of individuals who work hard to try and close the gap that exists between the health outcomes in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population and the rest of contemporary Australian society. Elba Incorporated is a Not-For-Profit organisation established in 1990, that is operated by our Members for the benefit of our Members. Elba was formed by a group of spinal cord injury patients who decided to create their own agency, as at the time their only option was to live at the Quadriplegic Centre in Shenton Park, Western Australia. They decided to assert their independence and establish an organisation where they were able to manage their own funding from the Commonwealth Government, which later transferred to the Disability Services Commission of Western Australia. Their goal was to live in their own homes with independence, dignity and choice of Support Workers/Carers.

At Care Connect, our focus is enabling you to stay living at home, connected to your community, and the things you value, for as long as possible. Care Connect supports you to decide what is best for you, by providing exceptional independent advice and equally impartial connections to quality home services, so you can stay living happily and securely in your own home. Care Connect is entirely independent and will provide you with excellent advice and tailored services that meet your individual needs. We carefully select a personalised set of services from providers in your own community. That way, you know you’re getting the best in your community, not just the best that one home care company has. Our highly qualified team can: • help you remain living independently at home for as long as possible • provide you with truly independent advice and guidance • connect you with tailored services that meet your individual needs • help you save time as we have done the service provider searching and screening for you • help you navigate the aged care and disability systems. We have partnerships with many quality providers in metropolitan and regional New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. All service providers are accredited and police checked. These are just some of the services we offer: • Advice and Guidance • Cleaning Services • Garden Maintenance • Home Maintenance • Home Sharing • Mobility Aids and Healthcare Equipment • Navigation of the aged care system • Home Nursing • Personal Care • Service Management • Shopping and Meals • Transitional Care • Transport Most Homecare organisations work by employing their own carers. It’s a bit like getting advice from a doctor who also owns a pharmacy. Wouldn’t you always wonder if they recommend that medicine because they sell it in their pharmacy? What about getting financial advice from an adviser that works for a large financial institution? You’d wonder if they were recommending a product because they were receiving a commission. Care Connect is different. Just like doctors shouldn’t own pharmacies and many people prefer independent financial advice, Care Connect believes in the importance of independent home care advice. We have over 20 years’ experience connecting people with high quality services that meet their needs, now and into the future. Our commitment is helping you adapt to your changing circumstances so you can stay connected to your home, your family, your friends and your community. We only employ client advisers who have extensive experience in home care and work entirely for you. They truly are creative solution experts, in many cases, can suggest solutions you may not have thought possible. We will also help you through the aged care system and arrange the appropriate assessments, to find out if you are missing out on any funds you may be entitled to. Your life is about living it the way you want to, and where you want to. Call us and speak with one of our team members. We are ready to listen to you, no matter what your story.
